4/4 Update: SB1111 - Concerning License Issue/Denial

4/4/13 Update

SB1111 has been significantly amended since our original post and is now a potentially favorable bill.  The new bill has been passed by the Senate Judiciary on 4/3 as amended.   Arkansas Carry does NOT oppose the bill as amended.   The amendment completely discards the original language and provides:

Arkansas Carry remains firmly committed to passing open carry legislation in the 2013 General Session. It is our #1 priority. While we do not have a crystal ball and cannot see the future with absolute clarity, we do see that the State House of Representatives will be the greatest hurdle to any pro-gun legislation.

Many of our elected officials ran on the promise of voting for open carry legislation, but they may need to be reminded of their campaign promises. Don't allow their promises to become hollow rhetoric!
