Anti-gunners are planning a boycott on Feb 14 of Starbucks because of their 'pro-gun' policy. When did following state law regarding the carry for firearms become an endorsement or pro-gun policy? I call that a non-discrimination policy which is something we should all embrace. We are pondering a buycott to counter this on Feb 14th. Thoughts? - Chris

Nothing to think about on this one.

I'm not a frequent Starbucks customer, but I plan on going there at least 3 times that day!

Not only do we need to go, but make sure and tell them why we're there that day.

so I ventured through a few of the "fact sheets"...wow, what a misguided bunch. They don't provide any documentation for where they get their numbers, just spout a bunch of feel-good BS. The college campus fact sheet is the best one, it spends 4+ paragraphs talking about the NRA U program and never bothers to state why they are against campus carry...brilliant!
I think they're doing a better job promoting our side than their own.
Oh, and I will be at Starbucks at least twice that day.

If there was a Starbucks nearby I'd participate. I guess Hot Springs is the closest to me. I hope all of you that are close enough go and support Starbucks on that day, and every other day as well!

I'll make a point to visit them a couple of times that day myself. Since I work on a college campus who has a Starbucks right in the middle, I'm not sure whether buying their overpriced coffee on that day will send a message there or not...You guys think I should go to a couple of the "regular" stores instead?

Absolutely! I would if it were possible.

To me, standing up to the Brady Bunch, and others, that want to trample the laws of a state (esp. the 2nd) is a pretty bold move and we should all give them lots of support for doing it. Let them know that their stock value isn't going to go down because of the "gun toter's," but may increase! I think if the support is there you might see other corporations fall in line as well. It's a stretch, but it could happen.

I don't generally go to Starbucks, but will make a point of doing so that day. I got a Starbucks gift card at Christmas and can easily use that for a couple of beverages.

There is one or two in Little Rock that we get coffee like several times a year.

I will make sure to get a cup. It may not be exactly on that day, but close enough.

A long time ago I bought a 200 dollar inverter for the truck and brewed our own coffee for like .20 a cup instead of 5 dollar coffee at the rest areas. It paid for itself and then some that year.
